Unexpectedly blustery weather conditions got eastwards across northern Italy as extreme downpour and 100km/h (62mph) winds battered the district. In certain spots, tennis ball-sized hailstones harmed individuals, harmed vehicles and removed trees.
A 16-year-old young lady was killed when a tree fell on the tent she was staying in bed at a day camp close to the city of Brescia, while a moderately aged lady passed on after likewise being hit by a falling tree in Lissone, north of Milan.
The city chairman of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, said: "I have seen nothing like this... We can't deny it any longer - environmental change is completely changing us."
